Good morning everybody, I am Alex Roberts. It is bright and early here on the east coast of the United States. Some of my readers out there may still be asleep as I sit here writing this. In one of my articles yesterday I wrote about how America is heading for a civil war that will put American against American. Almost every American who has access to news media in some format or another knows the name Maxine Waters. We all know what she said. Some people out there may feel as though I am reading too much into her words. As crazy and senile as this woman may be it really does not say much for the Americans who take her seriously. I mean the woman once said that Putin invaded Korea. However, her words were very clear in their intent. She wishes to see people who do not support President Trump start a war with Americans that do not agree with them. Her words were so bad that even Nanci Pelosi has tried to distance herself from this crazy woman. Now because of what Maxine Waters said someone who is mentally unhinged at some point is going to go out and try to hurt someone because they have a different political opinion. Unfortunately she is not the only one who is trying to encourage people who do not support President Trump to start a civil war. A name that many Americans may not be familiar with is the name Hamilton Nolan.
For those of you who like myself had never heard of Hamilton Nolan until recently I have taken the liberty of trying to learn as much as I can about this leftist writer. I can not say that my research into this writer has proven to be a fruitful one, but I will share what I have learned so far. Earlier this year Hamilton Nolan was honored by the Writers Guild of America for digital organizing. Nolan had become a labor reporter for Gawker and worked with his colleagues to form the first major digital media company unionize with WGA east. It was not until their journalists published an article titled “Why We’ve Decided to Organize,” that Gawkers organizing campaign was really given any attention. Although Gawkers success did not last very long it did pave the way for Vice, HuffPost, and other digital media companies to follow in their footsteps. Hamilton Nolan has been the representative of the WGA at labor events that took place at the White House and the AFL-CIO- National Convention. Following the downfall of Gawker Hamilton Nolan landed on his feet when he moved on to another media company called Splinter News
As a writer myself, I really can not say that I am overly impressed with Splinter News. When I checked into their company using mediabiasfactcheck.com I learnt that they are graded as a left bias news site. Their factual reporting of this news company is mixed at best which means that the chances of someone being able to get any news out of them that is actually worth anything is iffy at best. Their readers may get some actual news out of them or their readers may be served a story full of sh**. Before they became known as Splinter News they were known as Fusion. Editor in Chief of Splinter News told Variety, “the site will focus on news and political commentary for a justice-minded, inclusive, and incisive audience.” According to a review from mediabiasfactcheck.com Splinter News relies upon the use of loaded words in their articles and headlines.
It was the Hamilton Nolan article “This Is Just the Beginning” that drew my personal attention to Splinter News. His hatred for President Trump and those who support him just oozes out of his words. At the start of his article he informs those who are in support of President Trump and his policies that if we think Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Kirstjen Nielsen having their meals interrupted and being harassed out of restaurants is bad, we haven’t seen anything yet. This is just the beginning. He contends that those who have great power more than likely do not know how it feels to have great power used against them. It is because those who hold the power do not know how it feels to have the power used against them that such decisions are made by powerful people and institutions. For the average reader some of this may sound like it makes sense like when he points out that those who start wars often times do not know how it feels to have a bomb dropped on their house. He continues to try to get into his readers heads by saying things that most Americans at one point or another have probably said regardless of what side of the line that they stand on.
It is later on in his article when Hamilton Nolan lets it be known that the lives of those who support President Trump and his policies are now under threat from the left and social justice warriors. In his own words Hamilton Nolan says, “the people who are responsible for what is happening are not going to get out of this with their happy wealthy respectable lives unscathed. And the ones who make the laws are not going to like what happens when America starts to regard them as the criminals.”
I will not try to throw an accusation at Hamilton Nolan and claim that he himself is threatening anyone’s life, but he definitely isn’t doing anything to stop anyone’s life from being threatened. As I pointed out yesterday it is easy for someone to say a lot under the illusion that they are saying nothing at all. If the wrong person who is mentally disturbed were to see such words coming from this writer it may easily be construed that Hamilton Nolan is endorsing violence that comes upon those who support President Trump. More than just Hamilton Nolan being understood as supporting and encouraging such violence with his words it could be understood that Splinter News shares in these views since they allowed it to be published. If anyone were to call Hamilton Nolan out on his words I imagine that more than likely he may try to claim that he was practicing satire and did not mean for his words to harm anyone.
It was not that long ago that Maxine Walters encouraged those who do support President Trump to attack those of us who support our President and his policies when she said, “If you see anybody from that Cabinet — in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station — you get out and you create a crowd. And you push back on them. And you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere.”
Midway through his article Hamilton Nolan uses the well known quote, “with great power comes great responsibility.” That is probably the smartest thing that he says in his whole article because the rest of Nolan’s article is barely fit to line a birdcage with in my personal opinion. Hamilton Nolan, if you are reading this, you are right. With great power comes great responsibility. You could have tried to defuse an explosive situation. Instead you chose to poor kerosene on a fire that is already burning out of control. If anyone reads your article goes out and hurts someone their blood is on your hands.
For my own readers I will never encourage you to initiate a fight or to go out and hurt someone. If you were to take it on yourselves to do these kind of things then you are not helping our cause, but instead you are giving leftist like Hamilton Nolan and Maxine Waters more reason to try to make us look bad. I am also not going to encourage you to let yourselves be attacked. I am going to encourage you to protect yourselves and the people next to you by any means necessary. Once a leftist or social justice warrior throws that first punch if you must fight, then win.
